The Praise was always a feature-rich product, but the i-Praise has additions to it that make it even better. The biggest one is the detachable battery, which is a Lithium-ion unit that can be taken to the owner’s house to be charged via a 5A power socket. It has a charge time of 2-3 hours. Another benefit of the Li-ion battery is the fact that the scooter has managed to cut down its weight by 4 per cent over the previous lead-acid version. The new Li-ion battery will offer a range of 160-180km on full charge. Motive power is via a 1000 Watt BLDC electric motor.
The PraisePro is Okinawa’s high-speed electric scooter. The EV features LED headlight and DRLs, a fully digital LCD console, central locking with an anti-theft alarm, keyless entry, and a USB port. The PraisePro is suspended on a conventional telescopic front fork and twin rear shocks, and for braking, it gets a front disc and a rear drum brake setup. The Okinawa PraisePro is powered by a 1kW BLDC motor paired with a 2 kWh removable lithium-ion battery. The peak power is 2.5 kW, and its top speed is limited to 58 kmph. Okinawa claims a charging time of 2-3 hours and a range of 88km in ‘Sports’ mode.
The Okinawa Dual is designed to carry heavy items such as gas cylinders, heavy hardware equipment, water cans, and day-to-day items like groceries, medicines and more. The Okinawa Dual is powered by a 250 watt electric motor with a top speed of 25 kmph. The low speed of the Okinawa Dual keeps it out of stipulated requirements like registration and driver’s license to use it. With a kerb weight of 75 kg, the Dual has a disc brake on the front wheel and drum brake on the rear wheel. The Dual comes with a 48W 55Ah lithium ion detachable battery which can be charged upto 80 per cent in 1.5 hours, and completely in about 4-5 hours.
